Key takeaways
A full body checkup starts at ₹1,249 and runs to ₹3,199 across the packages one national lab publishes. That is the whole price range for most people.
Before paying it, check your policy. Most health insurance plans include an annual check-up you have already paid for inside the premium, and it is among the least-claimed benefits in the market.
The number of parameters advertised is not a measure of usefulness. A cheap panel and an expensive one often differ by tests you did not need.
Section 80D allows ₹5,000 a year for preventive health check-ups, but it sits inside your existing 80D limit rather than on top of it.

What does a full body checkup cost in India?

₹1,249

That is the cheapest full body checkup package published by Redcliffe Labs, read July 2026. The most expensive on the same list is ₹3,199.

For most people, the entire question sits inside that range.

The five packages, as published

PackagePrice
Fit India Full Body Checkup, free HbA1c₹1,249
Fit India Full Body Checkup with vitamin screening₹1,799
Advance Plus Full Body Checkup₹2,499
Stay Fit Full Plus Body Check (female)₹2,599
One Plus One Fit India, with vitamin screening₹3,199

One lab, one city, one week. Prices differ between labs and between cities, and they move often. What does not move much is the shape: a basic panel around ₹1,200 to ₹1,800, an extended one around ₹2,500 to ₹3,200.

Before you pay it

Most health insurance policies include an annual health check-up. It is a named benefit in the wording, usually delivered cashless at a listed diagnostic centre, and it is one of the least-claimed benefits in Indian health insurance.

Terms vary sharply. Some plans give an unconditional check-up every year from age 18. Several public-sector plans give one only after three or four claim-free years. A few keep it out of the base plan and sell it as an add-on.

Check your policy schedule before you pay a lab. Our guide to which plans pay for your check-up sets out the terms plan by plan, and what your policy actually pays for a procedure applies the same test to surgery.

Two things worth knowing

Parameter counts are marketing. A "70-parameter" panel is not seven times better than a ten-parameter one. What matters is whether the tests match your age, family history and your doctor's advice. We are an insurance advisory, not a medical one, and that decision belongs with your doctor.

The tax break is smaller than it sounds. Section 80D allows ₹5,000 a year for preventive health check-ups, and it sits inside your overall 80D limit rather than on top of it. If you are already claiming the full limit on premiums, the check-up adds nothing. The mechanics are in our guide to Section 80D deductions.

FAQs

How much does a full body checkup cost in India?

Between ₹1,249 and ₹3,199 across the five packages Redcliffe Labs publishes, read July 2026. A basic panel sits around ₹1,200 to ₹1,800 and an extended one with more screening around ₹2,500 to ₹3,200. Prices differ by lab and by city.

Is a full body checkup covered by health insurance?

Usually, as a named benefit rather than as a claim. Most health policies include an annual or periodic health check-up delivered cashless at a listed diagnostic centre, which does not reduce your sum insured. The frequency and value differ sharply between plans, so check your own policy schedule.

Can I claim a full body checkup under 80D?

Up to ₹5,000 a year for preventive health check-ups, and it can be paid in cash. The catch is that this ₹5,000 sits within your overall Section 80D limit rather than being added to it, so it only helps if you are under the limit already.

Which full body checkup package should I choose?

That is a medical question rather than a pricing one, and it depends on your age, family history and what your doctor advises. The number of parameters advertised is not a measure of usefulness, and a larger panel frequently adds tests that will not change anything you do.
