B12 is often bundled with vitamin D. Labs frequently sell a vitamin D test and B12 together at a combined price. If your doctor has asked for both, the package is usually cheaper than buying them separately; if only one, the standalone price above applies. Whether you need the test is a decision for your doctor.
The tax break is smaller than it sounds. Section 80D allows ₹5,000 a year for preventive health check-ups, and it sits inside your overall 80D limit rather than on top of it.
