Uric Acid Test Price in India: From ₹149
A uric acid test costs from ₹149 to ₹300 across three national labs (Bangalore, July 2026). Before you pay, check whether your health policy's free annual check-up already covers it.

What does a uric acid test cost in India?
₹149
That is the cheapest of the three national labs we checked, Redcliffe Labs, for a serum uric acid test in Bangalore, read July 2026. The dearest, Orange Health, is ₹300. It is one of the cheaper single-parameter tests, so the whole range is small.
A uric acid test measures serum uric acid, the marker linked to gout and some kidney conditions, from a single sample.
The three labs, as listed
| Lab | Price (Bangalore) |
|---|---|
| Redcliffe Labs | ₹149 |
| Healthians | ₹171 |
| Orange Health Labs | ₹300 |
Three labs, one city, one week, and about ₹150 between the cheapest and dearest. The higher price buys a faster home visit, not a different test. Prices differ by city and move over time, so treat these as the order of magnitude.
Before you pay it
Most health insurance policies include an annual health check-up, and a uric acid test is often part of it, usually bundled into the kidney panel. It is a named benefit in the wording, usually delivered cashless at a listed diagnostic centre, and it is one of the least-claimed benefits in Indian health insurance.
Check your policy schedule before you pay a lab. Our guide to which plans pay for your check-up sets out the terms plan by plan, and the kidney function test cost page covers the wider panel a uric acid test usually sits inside.
Two things worth knowing
Uric acid is usually cheaper inside a kidney panel. A kidney function test (KFT) includes uric acid alongside creatinine, urea and electrolytes, often for only a little more than uric acid alone. If your doctor wants a broader kidney picture, the panel is usually better value; if only uric acid, the standalone price above applies. Whether you need the test is a decision for your doctor.
The tax break is smaller than it sounds. Section 80D allows ₹5,000 a year for preventive health check-ups, and it sits inside your overall 80D limit rather than on top of it. If you are already claiming the full limit on premiums, the check-up adds nothing. The mechanics are in our guide to Section 80D deductions.
