That is the cheapest of the three national labs we checked, Healthians, for a CRP test in Bangalore, read July 2026. The dearest, Orange Health, is ₹520, nearly three times as much. For a single-parameter test, that is an unusually wide gap.
A CRP test measures C-reactive protein, a marker of inflammation in the body, from a single sample, and needs no fasting.

Three labs, one city, one week, and a spread of more than ₹300 on one parameter. The higher prices reflect express home collection, not a better test. When a simple test's price varies this much, it is worth checking two or three labs first. Prices also differ by city and move over time.
Before you pay it
A CRP is not always part of a routine annual check-up, but it is commonly ordered when you are being investigated for an infection or inflammation, and in that setting it is often covered under your policy as part of the diagnostic workup during a hospitalisation or day-care claim. Two things worth knowing
CRP and hs-CRP are different tests. A standard CRP measures inflammation broadly; a high-sensitivity hs-CRP is a separate, usually dearer test used to assess cardiac risk. They are not interchangeable. Which one your doctor wants matters, so check the test name when you book rather than the price alone.
The tax break is smaller than it sounds. Section 80D allows ₹5,000 a year for preventive health check-ups, and it sits inside your overall 80D limit rather than on top of it.
