ICICI Lombard network hospitals: finding one, and the Network Advantage catch
ICICI Lombard's cashless network runs to 8,500+ hospitals, the figure on our ICICI Lombard plan pages (nyvo policy database, October 2026). If your Elevate policy has the Network Advantage discount, the network matters more than usual: treatment at a hospital outside it then carries a 20% co-payment on the claim.

How do I find an ICICI Lombard hospital in my city?
We couldn't read ICICI Lombard's locator or a city-wise count on 24 October 2026, so this page doesn't print one. Use ICICI Lombard's cashless hospital search yourself and look up the hospitals you'd actually use, by name.
If you're still choosing a plan, do this before you buy Elevate with Network Advantage, not after. The discount is only worth having if your nearest good hospitals are on the list.
How do I check a hospital is cashless on my ICICI Lombard policy?
- 1Search the hospital by name on ICICI Lombard's cashless hospital search.
- 2Check your policy schedule for Network Advantage. If it's there, a hospital outside the network will cost you 20% of every claim.
- 3Call 1800 2666, or the number on your health card, and confirm the hospital is active for cashless on your plan.
- 4Ask the hospital's insurance desk whether it's taking cashless for ICICI Lombard right now, for your treatment. Desks are sometimes behind on their own status, so if the desk and ICICI Lombard disagree, go by ICICI Lombard.
- 5For a planned admission, start the pre-authorisation before the day you're admitted and keep the approval reference. It's what you quote if anything changes during the stay.
What does Network Advantage change on ICICI Lombard Elevate?
Network Advantage is an option on Elevate that takes up to 10% off the premium in exchange for agreeing to use network hospitals. The price, per the Elevate prospectus, is a 20% co-payment on any treatment at a non-network hospital.
Worked through: a ₹3 lakh admissible claim at a hospital outside the network leaves you paying ₹60,000 of it. If the hospital nearest your home isn't on ICICI Lombard's list, that discount is the wrong trade.
Without Network Advantage, none of the 8 ICICI Lombard plans we've reviewed ties a co-pay to the network, so a non-network hospital mostly costs you cash flow. Ask for cashless under Cashless Everywhere, or pay and claim back.
What happens at the hospital desk?
At a network hospital, the insurance desk sends the cashless request with your health card and ID. IRDAI's 2024 Master Circular on Health Insurance Business gives the insurer one hour to decide on a cashless request and three hours to give final approval once the hospital asks to discharge you. If final approval takes longer than three hours, any extra the hospital charges for the wait is the insurer's to bear, not yours.
Cashless isn't a zero bill. Co-pay, non-payable items and anything above your plan's limits are still yours at discharge. Our ICICI Lombard claim guide has the full steps and the documents, and if a request stalls, call ICICI Lombard on 1800 2666.
Hospital not in the network? Since January 2024, Cashless Everywhere lets you ask for cashless at a hospital outside the network too. Tell ICICI Lombard at least 48 hours before a planned admission; the hospital has to agree, and an excluded hospital is the exception. How cashless works in general is in our guide to cashless network hospitals.
ICICI Lombard network hospitals: questions people ask
Is ICICI Lombard's Network Advantage discount worth it?
Only if your nearest good hospitals are in ICICI Lombard's network. The option takes up to 10% off Elevate's premium but adds a 20% co-payment at any non-network hospital, so a ₹3 lakh admissible claim outside the network costs you ₹60,000. Check the hospitals near your home first.
Does the Network Advantage co-pay still apply under Cashless Everywhere?
Yes. Cashless Everywhere lets you ask ICICI Lombard for cashless at a hospital outside its network, with 48 hours' notice before a planned admission. But that hospital is still non-network, so on an Elevate policy with Network Advantage, 20% of the admissible claim stays with you even when the rest is settled cashless.
Which ICICI Lombard number do I call about a hospital?
1800 2666, the helpline ICICI Lombard prints on its own site (read 24 October 2026), or the number on your health card. Ask whether the hospital is active for cashless on your plan, and, if your policy has Network Advantage, whether it counts as a network hospital for you.
How fast does ICICI Lombard have to approve cashless?
Within one hour of the cashless request, and within three hours of the hospital's discharge request for final approval, under IRDAI's 2024 Master Circular on Health Insurance Business. If final approval runs past three hours, any extra the hospital charges for the wait falls on the insurer, not on you.
