Bajaj General network hospitals: how to find one and check the excluded list

Bajaj General's cashless network runs to about 12,000 hospitals, the figure on our Bajaj plan pages (nyvo policy database, October 2026). Bajaj doesn't print city-wise counts that we could read, but its locator searches by state, city, pin code or hospital name, and sits next to a separate search for excluded hospitals.

Bajaj's locator is one page for branches, garages and hospitals, so choose "Find a Network Hospital" first. Then search by state and city, by pin code, or by the hospital's name. Ten cities sit there as shortcuts: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna and Pune.

It didn't show a count per city that we could read on 24 October 2026, so we haven't printed one. If you'd rather have the list from Bajaj itself, the Health Guard wording says the latest list of network hospitals is available to you on request.

How do I check a hospital is cashless on my Bajaj General policy?

  1. 1Search the hospital by name or pin code under "Find a Network Hospital" on Bajaj's locator.
  2. 2Switch to "Search Excluded Hospital" on the same page and check the hospital isn't there.
  3. 3Call the service line, 1800-209-5858, not the sales line, to ask for pre-authorisation: 48 hours before a planned admission, or within 24 hours of an emergency one.
  4. 4Ask the hospital's insurance desk whether it's taking cashless for Bajaj General right now, for your treatment. Desks are sometimes behind on their own status, so if the desk and Bajaj General disagree, go by Bajaj General.
  5. 5For a planned admission, start the pre-authorisation before the day you're admitted and keep the approval reference. It's what you quote if anything changes during the stay.

Network, non-network and excluded: what does each mean with Bajaj General?

None of the 3 Bajaj plans we've reviewed ties a co-pay or a lower limit to the network. At a network hospital you go cashless; at any other you ask for cashless under Cashless Everywhere, which the Health Guard wording offers at any hospital meeting IRDAI's definition of one, or pay and claim back on the same terms.

Excluded hospitals are the exception. Bajaj's Health Guard wording carries the standard excluded-provider clause (Excl11): treatment at a hospital Bajaj has excluded and disclosed on its website isn't payable, except that in a life-threatening situation or after an accident it pays up to stabilisation, not the complete claim.

What happens at the hospital desk?

At a network hospital, the insurance desk sends the cashless request with your health card and ID. IRDAI's 2024 Master Circular on Health Insurance Business gives the insurer one hour to decide on a cashless request and three hours to give final approval once the hospital asks to discharge you. If final approval takes longer than three hours, any extra the hospital charges for the wait is the insurer's to bear, not yours.

Cashless isn't a zero bill. Co-pay, non-payable items and anything above your plan's limits are still yours at discharge. Our Bajaj General claim guide has the full steps and the documents, and if a request stalls, call Bajaj's service line, 1800-209-5858.

Hospital not in the network? Since January 2024, Cashless Everywhere lets you ask for cashless at a hospital outside the network too. Tell Bajaj General at least 48 hours before a planned admission; the hospital has to agree, and an excluded hospital is the exception. How cashless works in general is in our guide to cashless network hospitals.

Bajaj General network hospitals: questions people ask

How do I check if a hospital is excluded by Bajaj General?

Use "Search Excluded Hospital" on Bajaj's locator page, next to the network search. An excluded hospital isn't payable under Bajaj's Health Guard wording, except that in a life-threatening situation or after an accident Bajaj pays up to stabilisation, not the complete claim.

How much notice does Bajaj General need before a planned admission?

48 hours. Bajaj's Health Guard wording asks you to tell it 48 hours before a planned admission and within 24 hours of an emergency one, and to request pre-authorisation before treatment at a network hospital. Bajaj then answers the request within 1 hour and processes the final discharge request within 3 hours.

Which Bajaj General line handles cashless requests?

1800-209-5858, the service line Bajaj prints on its own site and in its policy wording (read 24 October 2026). The number beside it, 1800-209-0144, is for buying a policy. Have your policy number ready and ask whether the hospital is active for cashless on your plan.

Can I get Bajaj General's hospital list from Bajaj itself?

Yes. Bajaj's Health Guard wording says the latest list of its network hospitals is available to you on request, and points to its website for the updated version. The locator is quicker: search by state, city, pin code or hospital name, then run the same name through the excluded search on that page.
