Why is ReAssure 3.0 Black cheap for what it covers?

Black is the only ReAssure 3.0 variant with no room-category cap and no room co-payment. Booster+ adds 100% of the base cover in every claim-free year, up to 1000%, and ReAssure Forever refills the cover an unlimited number of times for life once your first claim is paid.

There are two gaps. There is no maternity cover and no rider that adds it, and the annual health check-up is a paid option (₹1,008 on this quote) where many plans at this price include one.

Is Niva Bupa the cheapest of the big health plans?

For our 30-year-old in Mumbai with ₹10 lakh, yes: ₹7,529, against ₹9,126 on Care Supreme, the next lowest. It was also the cheapest of the four at 60 for ₹10 lakh, at ₹25,881.

What moves a ReAssure 3.0 premium?

Age

The premium barely moves from 25 to 45 (₹7,392 to ₹9,322 for ₹10 lakh), then rises fast: ₹13,413 at 50 and ₹25,881 at 60. Our note on why premiums rise at renewal has the full picture.

Your city

₹6,844 at a Bengaluru pincode (560001), ₹7,529 in Mumbai (400001) and ₹8,213 in Delhi (110001), for the same 30-year-old and ₹10 lakh: a narrower spread than on the other three plans. Our guide to zone-based premiums covers what zones mean at claim time.

Add-ons

For a 30-year-old with ₹10 lakh in Mumbai the quote priced Claim Safeguard+, which pays the non-payable items hospitals bill separately, at ₹941 a year; cutting the 36-month pre-existing disease wait at ₹1,011; and an annual health check-up at ₹1,008. The pre-existing wait change can only be chosen when you buy.

Sum insured

At 30, going from ₹10 lakh to an Unlimited sum insured costs ₹3,176 more a year (42%). That removes the ceiling on the policy, though the unlimited refills of ReAssure Forever don't apply on it. Our guide to how much health cover you need helps you choose between them.

Paying for two or three years at once

At 30 with ₹10 lakh, one year was quoted at ₹7,529. Two years paid up front came to ₹14,990, ₹68 less than two single years, and three years to ₹22,745, ₹158 more than three single years. Both comparisons are against single years at today's price; in practice each renewal is re-priced for your age band and any rate revision. The three-year option costs more than single years at today's price on this plan, so it only pays off if the yearly price rises by more than the difference.

Your health

These quotes declare no pre-existing condition. If you have one, the insurer can add a loading, apply a waiting period or decline after underwriting, so your price can differ from the chart. Niva Bupa can also attach a personal waiting period of up to 48 months to conditions it names on your schedule. Our explainer on premium loading covers how loadings work.

What should you know before buying ReAssure 3.0 on price?

Black is the only ReAssure 3.0 variant with no room-category cap, which is part of why it is good value. Two things to know: ReAssure Forever, the unlimited refill, stays dormant until your first paid claim, and it does not apply at all on the Unlimited sum insured option. If you want Unlimited, you are buying one very large cover rather than refills.

ReAssure 3.0 premium, questions answered

What does Unlimited sum insured cost on ReAssure 3.0?

₹10,705 a year for a 30-year-old in Mumbai, against ₹7,529 for ₹10 lakh. At 50 it is ₹19,362 against ₹13,413. ReAssure Forever's unlimited refills don't apply on the Unlimited option; on ₹5 lakh and ₹10 lakh they do, once your first claim has been paid.

What is the ReAssure 3.0 premium for a 30-year-old?

₹7,529 a year for ₹10 lakh on the Black variant, for one adult in Mumbai, the lowest of the four plans we priced for that profile. ₹5 lakh costs ₹6,400. A Bengaluru pincode brought the ₹10 lakh price down to ₹6,844.

How much is ReAssure 3.0 at 60?

₹25,881 a year for ₹10 lakh at 60, against ₹7,529 at 30, for one adult in Mumbai. Most of that rise comes after 45. If you are younger, buy now and renew without a break, so the waiting periods you have served still count.

Does the Niva Bupa premium include GST?

No GST is added. Individual health insurance has been exempt from GST since 22 September 2025, under CBIC Notification 16/2025-Central Tax (Rate) of 17 September 2025, and every quote on this page carried no tax. Group cover, such as a policy from your employer, still carries 18% GST.
