ManipalCigna network hospitals: how to find one by pin code and check it

ManipalCigna's cashless network runs to about 7,300 hospitals, the figure on our ManipalCigna plan pages (nyvo policy database, October 2026). That's the smallest of the 11 insurers on these pages, so checking your own hospital matters more here. ManipalCigna's locator finds the nearest network hospital from your pin code.

How do I find a ManipalCigna hospital in my city?

ManipalCigna has a page for each of 1,201 towns and cities on its network hospitals list, but when we read them on 24 October 2026 they described the network in general terms. None listed its hospitals or gave a count, so we haven't printed one.

The useful tool is the pin-code search: enter a pin code and it finds the nearest network hospital. Run it for your home, and for your parents' home if they're on the same policy.

How do I check a hospital is cashless on my ManipalCigna policy?

  1. 1Enter your pin code in ManipalCigna's hospital locator and check the hospital you'd use is in the results.
  2. 2Call the service line, 1800-102-4462, with your policy number and confirm the hospital is active for cashless on your plan. From outside India, for a parent admitted here, the number is +91 22 4985 4100.
  3. 3Ask the hospital's insurance desk whether it's taking cashless for ManipalCigna right now, for your treatment. Desks are sometimes behind on their own status, so if the desk and ManipalCigna disagree, go by ManipalCigna.
  4. 4For a planned admission, start the pre-authorisation before the day you're admitted and keep the approval reference. It's what you quote if anything changes during the stay.

Network or not: what changes with ManipalCigna?

None of the 8 ManipalCigna plans we've reviewed ties a co-pay or a lower limit to using a network hospital, so the difference is mostly cash flow. At a network hospital ManipalCigna pays the hospital directly; at any other you ask for cashless under Cashless Everywhere, or pay and claim back.

With a smaller network, the case for checking before you buy is stronger. If the two hospitals nearest your home aren't on it, every admission there becomes a Cashless Everywhere request or a reimbursement claim.

What happens at the hospital desk?

At a network hospital, the insurance desk sends the cashless request with your health card and ID. IRDAI's 2024 Master Circular on Health Insurance Business gives the insurer one hour to decide on a cashless request and three hours to give final approval once the hospital asks to discharge you. If final approval takes longer than three hours, any extra the hospital charges for the wait is the insurer's to bear, not yours.

Hospital not in the network? Since January 2024, Cashless Everywhere lets you ask for cashless at a hospital outside the network too. Tell ManipalCigna at least 48 hours before a planned admission; the hospital has to agree, and an excluded hospital is the exception. Is ManipalCigna's smaller network a reason not to buy it?

Not on its own. A network only has to cover the hospitals you'd actually use. Before buying, enter your home pin code in ManipalCigna's locator; if your nearest good hospitals are on it, the national total matters little. If they aren't, every admission there means notice and paperwork.

Do ManipalCigna's city pages list the hospitals?
