Aditya Birla Health Insurance network hospitals: how to find and check one
Aditya Birla Health Insurance's cashless network runs to about 14,000 hospitals, the figure on every Aditya Birla plan page we publish (nyvo policy database, October 2026). We couldn't get city-wise counts from its site, so check the hospital you'd use on Aditya Birla's own locator, and check whether your policy carries the Preferred Provider Network option.

How do I find an Aditya Birla network hospital in my city?
Aditya Birla's hospital locator lets you search a location or pick one of six popular cities: Mumbai, NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Chennai. It didn't show a count per city that we could read on 24 October 2026, so we haven't printed one.
Search your own neighbourhood rather than the whole city. "Mumbai" covers a lot of ground, and the useful answer is how far the nearest network hospital is from your home.
How do I check a hospital is cashless on my Aditya Birla Health policy?
- 1Search the hospital on Aditya Birla's locator, then open the list of hospitals not eligible for cashless and reimbursement from the same page and check it isn't there.
- 2If your policy schedule shows the Preferred Provider Network discount, confirm the hospital is on the preferred list, not just the network.
- 3Call 1800 270 7000 and ask whether the hospital is active for cashless on your policy.
- 4Ask the hospital's insurance desk whether it's taking cashless for Aditya Birla Health right now, for your treatment. Desks are sometimes behind on their own status, so if the desk and Aditya Birla Health disagree, go by Aditya Birla Health.
- 5For a planned admission, start the pre-authorisation before the day you're admitted and keep the approval reference. It's what you quote if anything changes during the stay.
What changes if my Aditya Birla policy has the PPN option?
Activ One and Activ Health Platinum Enhanced offer an optional Preferred Provider Network discount: up to 10% off the premium in exchange for using hospitals on Aditya Birla's preferred list. The Activ One MAX wording (clause C.13.5) spells out the price. Treatment at any hospital outside that list carries a 10% co-payment on each and every claim.
On a ₹4 lakh admissible claim at a hospital off the preferred list, that's ₹40,000 from your pocket. It's a fair trade only if the preferred list already includes the hospitals your family would actually use, so check that before you tick the box, not after.
Separately, Aditya Birla publishes hospitals that aren't eligible for cashless or reimbursement at all. The Activ One wording's excluded-provider clause (Code-Excl 11) pays only up to stabilisation at those, and only in a life-threatening situation or after an accident.
What happens at the hospital desk?
At a network hospital, the insurance desk sends the cashless request with your health card and ID. IRDAI's 2024 Master Circular on Health Insurance Business gives the insurer one hour to decide on a cashless request and three hours to give final approval once the hospital asks to discharge you. If final approval takes longer than three hours, any extra the hospital charges for the wait is the insurer's to bear, not yours.
Cashless isn't a zero bill. Co-pay, non-payable items and anything above your plan's limits are still yours at discharge. Our Aditya Birla Health claim guide has the full steps and the documents, and if a request stalls, call Aditya Birla on 1800 270 7000.
Hospital not in the network? Since January 2024, Cashless Everywhere lets you ask for cashless at a hospital outside the network too. Tell Aditya Birla Health at least 48 hours before a planned admission; the hospital has to agree, and an excluded hospital is the exception. How cashless works in general is in our guide to cashless network hospitals.
Aditya Birla Health network hospitals: questions people ask
Can I search Aditya Birla's network by city?
Yes, by location or by one of six popular cities on Aditya Birla's locator: Mumbai, NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Chennai. It didn't print a count per city that we could read on 24 October 2026, so search your own neighbourhood and check the nearest hospital by name rather than the city as a whole.
What is the Preferred Provider Network option on Activ One?
It's an optional discount of up to 10% on the premium for agreeing to use Aditya Birla's preferred hospitals. The Activ One MAX wording adds a 10% co-payment on every claim at a hospital outside that list, so a ₹4 lakh admissible claim there costs you ₹40,000. Take it only if the preferred list already has your nearest good hospital.
Does Aditya Birla publish hospitals it won't pay at?
Yes. Its locator page links to a list of hospitals not eligible for cashless or reimbursement claims (read 24 October 2026). Treatment at one of those isn't payable, except that the Activ One wording pays expenses up to stabilisation in a life-threatening situation or after an accident.
Does Aditya Birla have a toll-free number for hospital checks?
Yes: 1800 270 7000, the toll-free number Aditya Birla Health Insurance prints on its own site (read 24 October 2026). Ask whether the hospital is active for cashless on your policy, and whether your policy has the Preferred Provider Network option, because that changes which list you should be searching.
