What ReAssure 2.0 Titanium+ covers
These are the terms that decide what you are actually paid when you claim. Room rent, co-pay and restoration do more to shape a settlement than the sum insured does, and they are read from Niva Bupa's own policy wording.
| Feature | This plan | What good looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Co-payment | None as standard – a voluntary 20% to 50% co-pay can be chosen to cut the premium | No Co-payment |
| Room Rent Limit | No room category cap – the wording says outright that your choice is not limited | No room rent capping |
| Disease sub-limit | No disease sub-limits. Modern treatments also paid up to the sum insured | No sub-limit |
| Booster+ (annual carry-forward) | Unutilised base cover carries forward each year, up to 10 times the base sum insured on Titanium+ | 50% each year (Minimum upto 100%) |
| Restoration Benefit (ReAssure Forever) | Unlimited refills, each up to the base sum insured – but only from your first paid claim onwards | 100% restoration once in a year |
| Pre-Hospitalization | 60 days, up to the sum insured | At least 60 days |
| Post-Hospitalization | 180 days, up to the sum insured | At least 120 days |
| Consumables | Not covered in the base plan – needs the paid Safeguard or Safeguard+ option | Consumables covered |
| Air Ambulance | Up to ₹2,50,000 per hospitalisation, emergencies only | Included |
| Day-Care Treatment | Covered up to the sum insured; an admission of 2 hours or more qualifies | Covered without a capped list |
| AYUSH Treatment | Covered up to the sum insured in an AYUSH hospital. Yoga and naturopathy claims need prior approval | Included |
| Annual Health Check-up | ₹500 for every ₹1 lakh of base cover, capped at ₹5,000 per person and ₹10,000 per floater policy | Included |

ReAssure 2.0 Titanium+ add-ons you can buy with it
Each of these costs extra and each has its own conditions. Some are genuinely worth it; several exist to patch a gap in the base plan. Ask what each one adds before it goes on your quote.
ReAssure 2.0 Titanium+ discounts you can ask for
Published discounts on this plan. Most are applied at quote stage rather than offered, so it is worth naming the ones you qualify for. Every figure is a ceiling, not a promise - what you actually get depends on the case.
| Discount | Worth | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Live Healthy | Up to 30% | Earned by walking – 1,000 steps is one health point. Applied at renewal, based on your score 90 days before the due date. |
| Family discount | Up to 10% | Two or more members covered under one individual policy. |
| First step into health insurance | Up to 7% | New business only, for buyers who have never held health cover. 3.5% on a 2-year term and 2.5% on 3 years. Ports and migrations do not qualify. |
| Long-term discount | Up to 10% and 15% | 10% off the second year on a 2-year policy; 7.5% off year two and 15% off year three on a 3-year policy. Not available on instalments. |
| Digital discount | Up to 5% | Buying and renewing through Niva Bupa's own website. |
| Doctor discount | Up to 5% | If an insured person is a certified medical practitioner. |

ReAssure 2.0 Titanium+ waiting periods: when each part of the cover starts
Waiting periods run from the day cover began, not from the day you fall ill, and they run in parallel rather than one after another.
| Initial Waiting Period | 30 days |
|---|---|
| Specific Illness | 24 months |
| Pre-Existing Disease | 36 months |
| Cancer (carve-out from the specific-illness list) | 30 days |
The named illnesses that wait 24 months
These wait 24 months from the start of your first ReAssure 2.0 policy. An accident is covered from day one and cancer after only the 30-day wait. If the same condition is also pre-existing, the longer 36-month clock applies. Indicative list – the wording carries the full set.
ReAssure 2.0 Titanium+ exclusions: what the plan will not pay for
Every policy carries exclusions, and they are the clauses people read for the first time at claim stage. These are the ones worth knowing before you buy.
Where ReAssure 2.0 Titanium+ falls short
No plan is right for everyone, and a page that only lists strengths is not much use to you. These are the gaps we would raise on a call before recommending it.
ReAssure 2.0 Titanium+ questions, answered
How does Booster+ differ from an ordinary no-claim bonus?
It carries forward the part of your base cover you did not spend, rather than crediting a fixed percentage. On Titanium+ that carry-forward can accumulate to 10 times your base sum insured, so a ₹10 lakh policy held clean for a decade can be worth ₹1.1 crore. The trade-off is that a claim in any year means nothing is added for that year.
When does the unlimited restoration actually start?
The first claim the insurer pays triggers ReAssure Forever, and from that point it stays for the life of the policy provided you renew without a break. Each refill is capped at the base sum insured, but there is no limit on how many times it fires. Until that first paid claim, you are working with base cover plus Booster+ only.
Is there a room rent limit on ReAssure 2.0 Titanium+?
No. The prospectus is explicit that the plan does not limit your room choice, and there is no proportionate deduction for picking a higher category. Watch the optional Room Type Modification, though – it lowers your premium precisely by putting a single-private or sharing restriction back in place.
What is Lock the Clock?
Your premium is charged at the age you were when you bought the policy and stays there until a claim is paid. Once a claim is paid the age unlocks and you move to your actual-age pricing. On a floater, a claim by any member unlocks the age for the whole policy.
What are the waiting periods?
30 days for any illness other than an accident, 24 months for a named list of conditions, and 36 months for pre-existing disease. Cancer is carved out of the 24-month list and is covered after just the 30-day wait. The pre-existing wait can be bought down to 2 years or 1 year.
Does this plan cover consumables?
Not by default. Gloves, PPE, syringes and the other items hospitals bill outside the room and procedure charges sit on the non-payable list. Safeguard buys back List I; Safeguard+ buys back all four lists. If a quote you have been given says consumables are covered, check which of the two it includes, because they are not the same cover.
Read it from the insurer
We summarise. The policy wording is the contract, and it is the only document that settles a dispute. These links go to the insurer's own pages.
Understand the terms before you commit
A plan page tells you what this policy does. These explain why each term matters and what it costs you when it is missing.
Other Niva Bupa plans we have read
Niva Bupa files these separately, and the terms differ between them. If you are choosing within the range, compare the waiting periods and the exclusions rather than the sum insured.
