Digit Health Insurance – Infinity Wallet Plan add-ons you can buy with it
Each of these costs extra and each has its own conditions. Some are genuinely worth it; several exist to patch a gap in the base plan. Ask what each one adds before it goes on your quote.
Digit Health Insurance – Infinity Wallet Plan discounts you can ask for

Digit Health Insurance – Infinity Wallet Plan waiting periods: when each part of the cover starts
Waiting periods run from the day cover began, not from the day you fall ill, and they run in parallel rather than one after another.
| Initial Waiting Period | 7, 15 or 30 days – set on your policy schedule |
|---|---|
| Specific Illness | 2 years |
| Pre-Existing Disease | 3 years |
The named illnesses that wait 2 years
Payable once the policy has run two years without a break; the wait does not apply to an accident, and the optional waiting-period modification shortens it. This list is indicative – the policy wording carries the full set.
Digit Health Insurance – Infinity Wallet Plan exclusions: what the plan will not pay for
Every policy carries exclusions, and they are the clauses people read for the first time at claim stage. These are the ones worth knowing before you buy.
Where Digit Health Insurance – Infinity Wallet Plan falls short
No plan is right for everyone, and a page that only lists strengths is not much use to you. These are the gaps we would raise on a call before recommending it.
Digit Health Insurance – Infinity Wallet Plan questions, answered
Is the initial waiting period really only 7 days?
Yes on this plan, and it is unusual. Most Indian health policies exclude any illness in the first 30 days; the Infinity Wallet Plan cuts that to 7. Accidents are covered from day one either way. Two other plans in the same Digit filing still carry 30 days, so check which plan name is on your schedule rather than assuming the 7-day rule applies.
How does the Sum Insured Back-up work?
It reinstates your cover an unlimited number of times within the policy period, up to the sum insured, and the plan chart is explicit that it applies to related and unrelated illness alike. That second word is what matters. Most policies refill only for a different illness, which is exactly the restriction that fails people when the same condition puts them back in hospital weeks later.
Are consumables covered?
Not in the base plan. Consumables Cover is one of the optional covers and pays up to the sum insured when taken. Without it, gloves, syringes, PPE and the rest of the non-medical list are deducted from your claim. It is worth pricing, because on a long admission those items routinely run to several percent of the bill.
Does it cover air ambulance?
Yes, and generously. Emergency Air Ambulance is a base section on this plan and is covered up to the sum insured, not to a fixed cap of ₹5 or ₹10 lakh as on most competitors. Three of the eight plans in the Digit range do not include it at all, so this is a genuine reason to pick Infinity Wallet over its siblings.
What are the waiting periods?
Seven days at the start for any illness, two years for the named specific-illness list, and three years for declared pre-existing disease. All three can be shortened by buying the Pre-existing Disease, Specific Disease and Initial Waiting Period Modification cover, which is sold as a single optional add-on.
Is maternity covered?
No, not in the base Infinity Wallet Plan. The Maternity and New Born Baby Cover add-on supplies it, with its own sum insured between ₹15,000 and ₹1 lakh, and you cannot hold it alongside the base maternity section that other plans in the range carry. If maternity is your reason for buying, compare the Worldwide Treatment Plan, which includes it.
