IFFCO Tokio customer care
Every contact route IFFCO Tokio publishes, in one place, with what to have ready before you call and what to do when the helpline cannot settle it. These are IFFCO Tokio’s own details, not ours.

Every way to reach IFFCO Tokio
Have this ready before you call
Most calls stall on identification, not on the question. Keep these to hand:
- Your policy number, and the member ID of the person being treated if it is a floater.
- The registered mobile number on the policy. Calling from a different number often means extra verification.
- For a claim: the hospital name, date of admission and the claim or pre-authorisation number if one has been raised.
- For a dispute: the complaint reference from the last time you contacted them.
What the helpline can and cannot settle
A helpline is good at status, documents and process: where a claim has reached, what paperwork is missing, how to intimate an admission. It is not the place a rejection gets reversed. If a claim has been deducted or declined on the wording – a room-rent cap, a waiting period, a non-disclosure – that is a decision on the policy, and it changes only through a written grievance and, if needed, the route below.
If IFFCO Tokio does not resolve it
- Step 1Start with the insurer
Raise it with the insurer's own grievance desk first and get a complaint reference. Every later stage asks for it, and skipping this step is the usual reason an escalation is sent back.
- Step 2IRDAI Bima Bharosa
If there is no reply in 15 days, or the reply does not resolve it, register the complaint with IRDAI through the Bima Bharosa portal at bimabharosa.irdai.gov.in, or call the IRDAI helpline on 155255.
- Step 3Insurance Ombudsman
Free, and binding on the insurer. Available once the insurer has rejected your complaint, or has not replied within a month. Awards are limited to ₹50 lakh.
The full walkthrough, including which Ombudsman office covers you, is in our step-by-step Ombudsman guide.
IFFCO Tokio customer care, questions answered
What is the IFFCO Tokio customer care number?
IFFCO Tokio publishes 1800-103-5499 for policy and claim support. Keep your policy number to hand: it is the first thing you will be asked, and without it the call cannot get past identification.
What is the IFFCO Tokio email address?
Write to support@iffcotokio.co.in. Email is the better route when you need a written trail, for example a pre-authorisation query or a disputed deduction, because a reference you can quote later is worth more than a phone conversation nobody logged.
IFFCO Tokio is not resolving my complaint. What next?
Get a complaint reference from IFFCO Tokio's grievance desk first. If there is no reply in 15 days, or the reply does not resolve it, register with IRDAI on the Bima Bharosa portal (bimabharosa.irdai.gov.in) or call 155255. Beyond that the Insurance Ombudsman is free and its award is binding on the insurer, up to ₹50 lakh.
How do I check if a hospital is in the IFFCO Tokio network?
Use IFFCO Tokio's own network hospital locator, linked on this page. Confirm it on the day of admission rather than relying on an older list: hospitals join and leave networks, and the cashless desk works off the insurer's current list, not a screenshot.
Stuck on a IFFCO Tokio claim?
We do not work for IFFCO Tokio. If a claim has been deducted or declined and the reason does not match your policy wording, an NYVO advisor will read the wording with you and tell you whether it is worth contesting.
